Ekphrasis

Describe the image you've been assigned in a single sentence. The parts of your sentence should be arranged such that the grammatical “posture” of your sentence mimics the posture of the body (or bodies) in the image.  Your goal is to compose a sentence that — not only through its content (i.e., the meaning of the words you choose), but, more importantly, through its form (the way in which you arrange those words into phrases, clauses, and other verbal configurations) — conjures up a picture as vivid as the images themselves.

Be prepared to explain to the class the reasoning that went into constructing each of your sentences: Why did you arrange its parts as you did?  That is, how does the grammatical “posture” of your sentence mimic the posture of the body or bodies that it describes?
